A private format
Pickle Talk: Supply Chain x AI will take place on 10 September from 16:00 to 20:00 Pacific Daylight Time on Treasure Island. The meeting is designed for just 12 supply-chain leaders and a small number of founders from seed-stage through Series A companies. Participation requires approval, and guest places are limited. The small format is intended to support a substantive discussion of enterprise procurement. Instead of discussing AI's potential in general terms, participants will be able to examine why a logistics or manufacturing pilot does not turn into a paid deployment. [1 · Event page]
Why pilots do not reach procurement
Typical obstacles include the absence of a deployment owner, difficult integration, incomplete data, security requirements, unclear liability for errors and a lack of proven return on investment (ROI). Work involving physical infrastructure also makes uptime, interventions per hundred operating hours, remote-control costs and the speed of turning incident data into product improvements important. The event's practical value is direct access to the language of enterprise buyers and their decision criteria. However, reporting should not promise the presence of specific people beyond the organiser's information: the source document identifies the audience and capacity limit, but does not name confirmed participants.
